I am not a big New Year’s resolution person. It’s totally fine if you are, it just doesn’t ever workout for me. Except twice. In 2015, a friend and I made a goal to run 15 races that year. We finished on December 31, 2015…in the dark…but we did it! The following year, she and I ran a half marathon together…her first! So it seems that if I have a goal buddy, I tend to be more committed!
Many times, I feel like I am making a resolution just because it’s a new year. And because I feel like I have to do it, it makes me want to do it less. Weird.
So instead of telling you all about my inspirational goals for 2018…because there really aren’t any (other than goals I’ve already been working towards)…I wanted to share a few of my favorite blog posts throughout the year and reminisce a bit!
I began writing this blog at the end of the last school year. I had the idea of blogging about rural life: recipes, canning, local travel, etc. Thanks to some help from a few other bloggers (Midlife Healthy Living and PA Country Crafts…check out their blogs!) I kept building pieces of my blog. Trust me, I still have a lot to learn and do!
As I paged through my blog posts from the past 7 months, here are a few recipes that stood out:
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Along with that, here are some of my favorite canning recipes:
I also began researching and using more essential oils this year:
I got to visit and write about some pretty exciting places:
I put my foot down in October and decided to start working out everyday with the help of YouTube videos:
Finding Exercise Videos on YouTube
So with all of those fun posts, I cannot wait to see what 2018 has in store for my blog!
If you’d like to keep up with my latest posts, you can follow me on Instagram, Pinterest, or Twitter or like my page on Facebook! I share all of my posts on each social media platform.
And to those of you who read my posts faithfully, like, comment, share, and network, you have no idea how much that means to me! I greatly appreciate all of your support!!
Here’s to a great 2017 and looking forward to a wonderful 2018!
I love your blog! I can’t wait to try some of your canning recipes this summer. I want to try youtube exercise videos, too. Happy New Year!
